I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, as well as, a licensed professional counseling in the Michigan (LPC). I am also board certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC) . I have been working as a licensed professional since 2014. I have been active in the mental health field working with individuals experiencing crisis, mental health concerns, and challenging life transitions for the past 11 years. I have experience working with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns and challenges including; depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, life transitions and adjustment issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, as well as, trauma, and abuse.
My counseling style is compassionate and engaging. Everyone deserves a safe and confidential space to share in which they are treated with respect and compassion. I work to collaborate with clients to help them gain insight and find ways to manage their struggles. My approach combines humanistic, and existential theories using evidence based techniques drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychotherapy treatments. I believe that individuals deserve to be treated with respect and compassion and that they have the ability to collaborate on treatment plans that are tailored to their personal needs and experiences.
It takes a lot of courage and motivation for change to reach for additional support. I am here to provide the extra support and guidance that may be needed to assist in your reaching your personal goals for therapy.
I look forward to working with you!

Lorraine is an amazing counselor and a wonderful person. She is incredibly empathetic, supportive, and knowledgable about my issues and, in just the few weeks I've worked with her, she has helped me feel so much better-equipped to deal with my issues and cope with the often-alarming state of the world with patience, compassion, and hope. I highly recommend her.
She is amazing. Highly recommend.
I really appreciate that I got paired up with Lorraine to be my counselor. I’m not a fan of talk therapy because it’s difficult opening so many wounds and heartache, but she has the perfect balance of knowing when to push me and when to back off. She’s also great at pointing out things I could be doing better or handling better without being demeaning. Overall I think she’s a great counselor and anyone would be in good hands working with her.
Lorraine is an excellent counselor. She provides great support and she is caring and understanding. I've only been talking to her a few weeks, but I am starting to feel the positive changes.
She's amazing! She is really wise and intuitive. I love how warm, understanding, respectful and accepting she is! She is a really wonderful counselor who actually process what you say instead of saying generic things back so you feel heard. She actually helps you and remembers what you tell her. I've only worked with her for a few weeks and already have made so many breakthroughs i cant wait to continue working with her. And working through issues together. She is a really special lady.
She's a kind person. I think Lorraine tries a lot, listens and is quite good at being an aid to people in need, especially since people worry about remote interface and audio visual sessions not being the same as in person. I feel Lorraine is a professional, sticks by her patient, and I can say she's helped me so far anyway.
Lorraine has already offered me a lot of help and support since speaking with her. She is very empathetic towards my feelings. She proposes different approaches and theories to help me move forward. She is a great listener and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is considering using BetterHelp.
Lorraine is very helpful in every session; she listens well and responds in ways that really make me think.
She has been a wonderful support to me for the past few weeks with my girlfriend and family, helping me incrementally improve on my anger management as well as checking in even when we don’t have a scheduled session. Her consistency and reliability have given me that push every week and day to try to be better for those around me. Thanks Ms. Lorraine for everything you do!
Lorraine is amazing at what she does. She’s very helpful and knows exactly how to help you out. She also makes you feel very comfortable to talk to her.
