About me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with 6years experience working as a psychotherapist and counselor. I was an RN for 25 years before deciding to pursue mental health counseling. I am from Chicago and I moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1999 to escape the snow. I spend my free time spoiling my 4 extremely large rescue dogs and trying to become an urban farmer.
I got my Bachelor degree in nursing in 1988 from Northern Illinois University and my master degree in 1996 from Loyola University. I worked in many different areas of nursing including Oncology/Hematology, surgical nursing, Emergency department, and nursing unit director. I became the manager of staff development and education in 2006. After a life-altering injury to my spine in 2011 I decided to pursue mental health. I received my Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Phoenix in 2015. I have extensive experience working with clients who experience depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, chronic health issues, and trauma. I have also helped people who experienced physical and/or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm, welcoming, and authentic. I believe that the client is not the problem, the problem is the problem. My approach combines humanistic theory and Socratic reasoning to develop practical answers to my client's issues. I will tailor my approach to help you meet your goals and conquer your unique issues.
If you are ready to take that first step toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life, I am here to support, honor, and empower you. Together we can experience your incredible journey of hope.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Louise Cialkowski. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I think she's very kind and gives me ways to help cope with the problems I'm facing.
She is amazing and I feel great working with her.
:)
Louise was tremendously helpful to me during a time when I felt depressed. She is very easy to talk to and I felt that the short term therapy really helped me so much. I would not hesitate to recommend her services. I feel so much better emotionally.
She’s great!
Louise is a kind person who listens without judgment and is very easy to talk to. Talking to her helped me unwind myself from my deep depression. After our first video session, I was able to pick myself up slowly and was able to get some things done. Getting through depression is hard and it's not something that will heal in a day, or even months... or even years. Louise always kindly reminds me to take small steps. These small steps will eventually lead to full recovery. After many years of not getting help and being too stubborn about it, I finally made the decision to address my depression. I am very thankful to have Louise as my therapist. Thank you so much, Louise! <3
Thanks for the help. Im glad I never changed to another therapist.
Louise is professional and very caring. I highly recommend her.
Louise is the most caring and understanding therapist I’ve had. She always checks in on me and listens and responds to all of my issues with the best advice. She’s a lovely therapist and I’d recommend her to anyone else
Louis is gentle & a great listener
Hope to work with you again in the future
Louise is very relatable. I always feel heard. Never judged.
She is very caring, given her previous profession. She understands how chronic pain can affect behavioral health. She really listens and tries to help by providing you with techniques that you can use to cope with anxiety.
I have tried a few other therapists before who were ok, but I met Louise and she has turned my life around. She is amazing and I would recommend to anyone. Down to earth, easy to talk to, listens, always on time, a real friend as well as therapist. I’m not there yet but I am a lot better thanks to her :)
A Godsend! Such a warm a kind hearted person ♥️ gives great advice and is a great listener!
I feel like I can be 100% honest with Louise without any judgment. She listens & offers helpful advise.
Louise does not dismiss my fears as something that should just be gotten over and helps me understand them to allow me to now worry about them
She is very warm, great listener Ann’s has great advice
Great talks!
She interacts with me as if we were gal pals ! Gal pals that can be honest with each other ! ❤️
Louise is a great counselor that I highly recommend. She listens to understand, not to solely respond. Which is what everyone needs who is going through a rough time.
Louise Cialkowski has helped me tremendously on how to change my mindset and how i view things. She’s given me new perspectives in the situations i’ve been in. She’s also a great listener.
