Lowell Wallace

LCSW, LICSW

About me

Hello, my name is Lowell Wallace and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work in 2013 and went on to earn my LCSW in 2017. I have expertise in working with individuals and families with co-occurring substance abuse and other counseling issues. I also have expertise in providing counseling to individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, family conflict, trauma, ADHD, and much more.

I utilize a client-centered approach and realize clients are the experts on their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients in setting and reaching their goals that will ultimately benefit their lives. Some of my most used clinical approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I enjoy these approaches because it allows me to help my clients gain insight into their core beliefs and how these translate into their thoughts and ultimately their behavior. I believe everyone has inherent strengths and abilities to face and overcome adversity and become more empowered and all they need is some assistance to realize their solution lies within themselves.

I truly enjoy working with others and assisting them in becoming better version of themselves.

Lowell has done great in providing a safe space to talk, he quickly attuned to what was needed and provided relevant worksheets and explored related problems. Even if it may be slightly tangential, he always gave me the space to get some of that out before jumping into what was planned for the session. I really appreciated that.

Lowell made starting therapy incredibly easy and comfortable. He is inviting and relatable, like an old friend you are okay sharing all your thoughts or struggles with over a warm cup of coffee. He made this journey easier than I thought it would be. He has never seemed judgmental or put off by anything I had to say. He is friendly and kind.

I've been visiting with Lowell for over a month now. It's my first adult experience using therapy. Every session he has given me a new way of thinking about the obstacles in my life. He also makes me feel encouraged and empowered to jump over or around those obstacles. Although we are just at the beginning of this journey, I believe that this might just be the guy that helps talk through the mental and social complications I am faced with as I create the solution using some of the tools he gives me for myself, friendships, and family.

Dood is solid. Good advice. Good relativity. Great person. Understands and keeps problems simple with a well rounded perspective. Doesn’t give answers he doesn’t have or pretend to be all knowing. Just a good dood who’s great at listening.

I worked with Lowell for eight months. He was successful in helping me achieve my personal counseling goals I had set for myself. After delaying the healing process for years, I finally got the courage to follow through and be consistent in my journey towards healing. His support and encouragement has helped me get to a place where I have found my voice, set boundaries, and learn to pay attention to my needs and fulfill them. Endless gratitude to Lowell for getting me to this healthier place.

After struggling with social anxieties and trust issues, I finally sought help through therapy. Immediately after beginning sessions with Lowell, I was able to open up completely about my issues and start to work towards bettering myself. It was never about just doing the work for my slotted time, but being interested in my day, my future, and all the small things in between that let me know that there was a genuine interest in my wellbeing and path of progress. I would never be able to thank him enough for pulling me out of the rut I was in mentally and giving me the tools and resources to not only heal some of my problems, but to also prevent them in the future. Lowell Wallace is someone you can trust.
