I am an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) in the state of Ohio. I started in the social work field in 2004 and have since worked with many different populations. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, addiction/recovery, parenting issues, & career difficulties.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
I am a great fit as a counselor for people who are ready for change and want it now; if you actually want to be challenged, I am your counselor. I am not a good fit as a counselor for people who are looking for someone to sit in the pity party and the blame/victim mentality with them.
My strengths in counseling are to both hear and listen to what you are saying, rephrase it back to you, and provide you with questions and feedback that make you think for yourself. This is taking the power back into your life and living it how you want to!
I am a wife and mother of two tweens while also working full time. I am tired and drained just like most parents and humans from the daily grind of keeping up with it all. You will probably notice me drinking lots of coffee and/or water during our sessions as my own therapy when providing therapy, so bring along yours, too!
