About me

At times, it may be challenging and difficult to find and seek help, or even to ask for help. So, let me just say that it's an amazing first step to find help for yourself and/or your loved ones.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with 3 years of experience in the counseling field. I have experience in numerous settings working with a variety of clients experiencing anxiety and depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, major life transitions, communication difficulties, etc. My therapeutic modality is focused on Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness techniques.

I want to create a safe place where openness, trust, and compassion is practiced throughout. Your feelings and thoughts should be shared and heard without judgment. Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Marissa Yoshikawa-Machado. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Marissa is wonderful. She listens and askes thoughtful questions or offers sage commentary to help me see the woods instead of just the trees. Perspective. I have had several "ah ha" moments after speaking with her. It has benefited me enormously, in very stressful circumstances, to have someone help me navigate my way - in the way best for me - to manage with the changes that life ultimately brings to us all. Thank you Marissa.

Marissa has incredible patience and insight that has helped me so far.
She actually works with me on my problems along with being there for me. I don't need a "yes" person and we talk through what I am going through which is EXACTLY what I need right now.
Did I mention she has incredible patience?
