About Me

I would like to, first of all, congratulate you on taking the first step toward getting the support you need right now! My name is Marjorie, and I live in sunny Southern California with my partner John, of many years, my three cats, three dogs, and tortoise (who is currently hibernating)...don't we all wish we could do that at times? I have had the privilege of being a 'helper' for almost 13 years now...time really does fly! And, that is another reason for congratulating yourself for seeking help. Time is of the essence! I want to help you work through issues that are holding you back from being your true authentic self! Issues, or struggles that are too big or overwhelming to solve on your own. I know that I am not a fixer, and I don't have all the answers, although I might have a suggestion or two. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings over the years, and with many ethnic populations. I also have Certifications in the Trauma Resiliency Model, Mindfulness Meditation, Play Therapy with Children, and Alcohol and other Drug Counseling! I love what I do and consider it an honor to collaborate, and help you resolve whatever it might be that is holding you back..keeping you stuck! I look forward to working with you!

Marjorie didn't waste any time in getting to know what my primary focuses were and developing a plan around helping me. She is very good at getting to the heart of what my issues are even if I dance around them!

I cannot speak highly enough of Marjorie. She is wonderfully communicative and offers a variety of methods tailored around my specific needs. She works around my very busy schedule, sends me helpful worksheets and literature as I need it and I truly believe she wants to help her clients. She is kind, understanding and makes you feel comfortable right off the bat. I've been thoroughly enjoying our process together and look forward for what is to come!

Marjorie is a new counselor for me. It’s a beginning of a good therapist I feel. She listens and she gives me very practical and realistic /doable suggestions. She sees the real me which doesn’t happen sometimes in my past therapy.

Marjorie is both deeply empathetic and disarmingly straight forward. Her approach is relational and intuitive with an insightfulness gleaned from a deep knowledge and experience of her field.

Marjorie is amazing. She is so engaged, personable, and kind. She has given me a plethora of advice so far. We've just started our counseling in the last month, so we're still trying to figure out our priority list of what and how to tackle-- and there's a lot. I highly recommend her!

Marjorie Fagan is an exemplary therapist. I have found wells of inner strength that help pull me forward in the darkest of times thanks to her continued encouragement and support. She respond quickly to texts and talking to her on the phone is an absolute delight. She is hands down one of the best therapists I have encountered in my last five years of therapy. I recommend her without reservation.
