Mark Byatt, BACP
About me
I am a licensed therapist in the UK with 9 years experience, both in private practice and for charitable organisations. I also have 12 years experience working in a social care setting.
As a therapist I have worked with a variety of issues including stress & anxiety, family conflicts, trauma & abuse. I am empathetic, non judgemental and supportive with strong listening skills. Additionally, I have helped clients work on issues relating to a lack of motivation, self esteem, self worth and confidence.
At the heart of how I work with my clients is to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared in confidence without fear of judgment.
It takes sincere courage to claim your healing from past or ongoing issues or wounds and I am here to support & empower you on that journey towards personal change.
Note: I am out of office from approx 3pm ( UK time ) on Fridays and not back online until Monday mornings. Any messages sent by clients between 3pm Friday and Monday mornings will be responded to that Monday. I make a point of answering all messages sent from Monday morning to Friday @ 3pm within a 24 hour period. Thank you :)

Mark has really helped me in just a few sessions. He has a really calm manner and is completely non judgemental. I feel supported and like he’s ‘on my side’. He gives very practical advice on ways to deal with challenges, as well as explaining theories to help me understand what is going on. He also sends additional resources on different topics that come up, which are really useful.
