Hello, my name is Mark and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. I have been working in mental health for twenty years. I have raised five children and have a lot of life experience in addition to my professional training. My Bachelor's Degree is in Religious Studies and my Master's Degree is in Community Mental Health Counseling. I have two years of training in Christian Counseling where I was certified through my church.
My counseling approach is one of collaboration. We will work as a team and put our minds together to find solutions. Once the problem is identified we can come up with a set of steps with small goals along the way to achieve. When you achieve a goal we will make a new one to get you another step closer to your end goal and a successful/desired outcome. As part of the work we do I will likely assign homework to complete between sessions and sometimes I will challenge you with a therapeutic task. Part of your job in our work together is to be as open and honest with me as you can. If you are having a bad day I want to know about it. My role as a therapist is to listen to you in a non-judgmental way, provide unconditional support, and be genuine and authentic at all times. Together we will create a plan to tackle problems one by one. We will prioritize what is most urgent and start there. I believe people can/will get better when they work at it regardless of the challenge they face. I use elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian Psychology primarily when helping in addition to Spiritual Therapy for my Christian clients that request it. I am a natural encourager and believe in my client’s ability to improve.
Years of experience working with all age groups, in varied settings and diverse populations providing therapy for clients with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders has prepared me to help if given the chance.
I look forward to working with you!

Mark is great
I am forever Grateful for Mark Mazzoni
I have been with Mark for over a year now, and after 14 years of a variety of treatments and therapists and psychiatrist, Mark has made the greatest difference in my recovery. I have been able to speak of things I never said out loud with him and he has helped me shift my perspective majorly. He is supportive and provides a safe and judgement free space. The biggest testament to this is that this is the first time in my life that I write a review for anything, but I want others out there to know how far you can go with a great therapist, even if it takes a while to find one, it’s completely worth it.
Mark is an incredible counselor with profound insight that he shares with Grace. He makes me feel comfortable and asks questions that assist me with going within to find truth. Thank you mark
I’ve only had two sessions with Mark so far, but he has already helped me immensely in recognizing my emotions as they happen. I know that there is a long road to heal my trauma, but I’m confident that Mark has the tools to guide me down this path. I would (and have!) enthusiastically recommend him to anyone hoping to calm anxious and/or irrational thoughts.
Mark has been such a great help to me in the short time I've worked with him. He's practical and sensible and empathetic. I feel like he has my back, and that means everything. He offers valuable insight from his own life experiences.
I know that I will benefit from his guidance if I stick with it.
Mark really is awesome! He listens- understands- helps you see different perspectives in a gentle way! Recommends great resources/ material to help you if needed! It’s been amazing!
Mark is amazing. He recognizes what I need pretty quick while I’m stumbling over myself trying to explain myself. This is a very important thing for me because I have a very hard time communicating my feelings and emotions coherently without becoming so upset I get choked up on my words.
Mark is one of the most compassionate people I ever spoke to and he really listens to you. I felt like I could tell him anything without being judged. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Mark listened to my situation, and then gave me homework, which really helped me. He has provided me with mtiple resources to help myself, while still checking in on me when I do not have an appointment scheduled. I highly recommend Mark.
I absolutely love his quick response to me, thats an excellent thing is to be quick with responding. He lets me feel welcomed and doesn't judge me because of my past. He helps me cope with the past and stress without making me relive it. I feel a great connection with him. He's absolutely amazing I've even recommended him to my husband and friends.
Mark has been great and really helped me through these tough times.
Mark is amazing and has truly helped me so much. He really listens to me and offers his expertise with difficult situations.
Mark was wise beyond his years and very helpful through many difficult issues.
Mr. Mazzoni is very attentive to the problem at hand. However, he moves you beyond the problem to solutions.
I have enjoyed working with Mark. He is very concerned, caring and encouraging. This helps a lot.
Short knowledge. Will answer more later
He is a great listener
Very experienced. Managed to find some things no other Therapists had ever pointed out or discussed.
Mark has been great and I have seen some real improvement in my self confidence and anxiety.
Mark has helped me with my stress and anger management with awesome coping skills. He also respects me and listens to anything I have to say. The homework he gives is helpful.
I was interested in using Betterhelp because of the opportunity to be personally matched with a counselor. I appreciated being able to put forward what I was looking for, what specific assistance I needed and being paired with someone comfortable and qualified to address my needs. I have been so pleased with the results. MrMazzoni understood my concerns and is guiding me through my journey. He responds to my messages, seeks and shares links of information and "homework". He listens, seeks to understand and offers relevant advice and counsel.
Mark is a very open person and after listening carefully, has demonstrates he has a good understanding of where I'm at and how to help. I enjoy my sessions with him every week.
A very kind amd wise soul. Great with people with ptsd and aniexty.
In just a couple of sessions, and several text, I’ve learned a lot from Mark. I love to read and once he discovered this, he provided me with a ton of great friends information, such as work sheets, books and links to useful websites. I’ve enjoyed working with him!
I've only had a couple of sessions so far, but his knowledge and ability to connect and empathize are beyond my expectations.
