About Me

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, teenagers and children. I received my higher education later in my life. After being married for several years and working, having a baby and then getting a divorce, I made the decision to go back to school. I am so very glad that I did. I recieved my BSW, Bachelor of Social Work and my MSW, Master of Social Work, at the Florida State University. Accomplishing this has made me a much more insightful, respectful, sensitive, compassionate and empathetic human with others.

I have gained a lot of experience working with the elderly, adults, teenagers and children. I have worked with clients with many concerns including, depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, ADHD, trauma, emotional abuse, domestic violence, and parenting problems. My specialty is ADHD with adults, teenagers and children. I have attended several ADHD workshops and that together with my experience of working with teenagers and children having ADHD has helped me to become knowledgable about the disorder.

My counseling style is warm, caring and interactive with my clients. My approach with my clients, combines Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic, Mindfulness and Psychodynamic counseling. Our treatment plan will be tailored to meet your unique and specific needs.

You have shown courage and strength when you take a step towards seeking help for a more fulfilling, happier life. I look forward to meeting with you, empowering and supporting you!

I answered backwards to the first question about her timely replies. She is awesome and always responds in time. Her replies are always encouraging and helpful. I love her communication style.

Martha is the best therapist I ever had. I used to always quit therapy after a couple of weeks with someone but I am sticking with her because she is really good. She has so much empathy. She is able to help me understand myself. I am healing.

I have only just started working with Martha and already she gets me. She understands and validates my feelings. She doesn’t just agree with everything but just validating how I am feeling is huge. She reaches out and checks on me which is refreshing as well. I am looking forward to working with her more.
