About me
I have been in the Mental Heath profession since 1983. I received my Masters Degree in 2007 though I have been counseling Individuals and Groups for almost 40 years. I have worked in a variety of settings including Evaluation and Treatment facilities, Crisis Centers , Residential Facilities and Mental Health Centers.
I have worked with a wide spectrum of populations in individual, couple and group settings dealing with depression anxiety, PTSD including veterans, grief and loss, crisis situations, Anger Management including court ordered and honestly just about mental health issue that are experiencing.
While my general treatment theoretical approach is based I CBT I draw upon numerous other areas including Mindfulness, DBT, IMR and trait and personality. I am very client focused believing I am there them rather than them for me.
I believe and have seen that while challenging, everyone has the capacity and ability to be successful in making the changes they seek.
I am open to helping anyone who is courageous enough to seek the help they need to make positive, lasting and effective change in their lives.
I currently live in Montana but have spent long periods of time in Washington, New York, California and Wisconsin.

Maurice has been extremely helpful, he has a plethora of metaphors and thought experiments as well as relevant YouTube videos and suggested exercises. Really happy with my decision to invest in Betterhelp even though I was hesitant in the beginning. Would definitely recommend Maurice and the website to anyone.
