I've only had a few sessions with Maya so far but I already feel a million times better and am sleeping much better than I did before starting counseling with her. She's such a good listener and she always has methods and advice ready when I bring up something for discussion. I feel confident using the tools she gives me.

Maya really listened to what I would say and write. She responded to each of my concerns and gave me the tools to improve. She also was proactive at reaching out, which was wonderful. She would check in to make sure I was OK and ensure I was continuing my progress towards my goals. I would highly recommend her!

Maya listens, has great insight and understands my issues quickly. She allows me to 'rant' if I need to share a story that has deeply bothered me. So far, despite some organizational issues on my end, Maya has been very helpful for me. In just the short time we've talked, she's already helped show me new stuff that I can use when my mental health declines, as well as helped challenge my way of thinking so that I could be more open.

Maya has been awesome - she clearly has a lot of experience in dealing with family issues and she was always willing to share her own experience, which I found very helpful and relatable. She has always been responsive and respectful and super honest - and let me be very honest and I have never felt scared or ashamed to tell her what I was thinking or feeling, even if it was controversial.

My experience with Maya Neal has been a positive one. She has responded to all my emails in a timely manner and has good insight into issues and situations I have discussed with her. While some reviews regarding online counseling stated that the answers could seem canned I have not found that with Maya. Her interactions with me have been personalized and constructive.

The online format is a good one for me as it offers flexibility that scheduled, in person counseling cannot offer. I can respond to an email later once I've had a chance to absorb what I read and think about how I truly feel about it. Sometimes are first reactions to questions or statements are off the cuff or defensive. This format allows me to work through that before responding.

Once Maya was assigned to me she responded almost immediatly. I found her to be very comfortable to talk with and she asked the right questions to help me understand emotions I am dealing with right now. She also had specific suggestions for setting goals for myself and taking steps toward acheiving those goals. Having the option of trying counseling using an online format at first was good for me because it was a first step that I probably would not have taken if I had to randomly locate someone in a big city on my own.

If you want someone who listens, understands what you're saying, and responds thoroughly, you're on the right track choosing her.
