About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a masters of science in Counseling. I have over 17 years experience providing counseling services, including virtual counseling, in private practice. My treatment is cognitive-behavioral with a teaching approach. This means my focus is to be proactive on reaching goals and objectives and the strategies to reach them. I provide individual, family, couples and behavioral therapy to multiple demographics. Along with providing counseling services to the general population, I am an expert in providing counseling to specialized/unique populations, including, but not limited to: traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, MS, chronic disease, veterans, and mental health issues. Michael is a real person that listens to what you're saying, not what he thinks you're going to say. He's firm in his approach, but soft with the delivery. Very calming and very understanding.
