About me

I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 28 years in California. My clinical experience includes working with children, families and adults, including those who are or have been in the foster care system. I am someone who enjoys listening and working with all different kinds of people; I believe that everyone deserves to live their best lives, and therapy is an excellent path to achieve that goal. In my practice, I teach cognitive behavioral skills, assisting clients to identify their inaccurate thoughts and change them to thoughts that are grounded in reality. Once thoughts begin changing, feelings and actions also change, allowing for new healing experiences. This approach is particularly effective for people who are experiencing depression and anxiety. Please note that I do not practice either messaging therapy or couples therapy.

Beginning the wellness journey is a courageous step, and I look forward to working with you!

Michele is the best listener, I feel like she has heard everything I am trying to say and that alone is healing me, on top of her good advice and wisdom.

Michele has been an incredible source for me over the last few months. I have suffered huge personal and professional losses since starting with BetterHelp and Michele has been along with me for the ride. She validated my feelings and relationships and gave me the tools to overcome the mental obstacles. She's a great listener and doesn't pass judgment. Michele is wonderful and thoroughly listens to the punches that life has given me.

I only had one session with Michele, but that was because she is such a great therapist! During my session with Michele, I felt heard and understood. Michele also briefly summarised what she heard from me and discussed what our next steps might be. Being heard and understood, and hearing Michele's feedback helped me realize what I needed to do. It also gave me the internal push I needed to start resolving the mental block I was facing.
