Hello! My name is Michelle Pellin, and I am licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Connecticut and Florida. I currently hold two Masters: one in eBhavioral Medicine and Health Psychology, and the other in Human Services and Counseling. Previously, I was a licensed therapeutic foster parent for almost 20 years, working mainly with mentally and emotionally disabled teens, and adopted two of them. I also worked as a case manager for 7 years fighting for the rights of my acquired brain injury, physically challenged, and elder clients.
I have worked with all kinds of individuals, and welcome anyone who needs support, as I am open and affirming to all. I believe that as a holistic psychotherapist, one must be healthy in mind, body and spirit. I am a true believer that your past experiences have brought you to your present situations, and will be assisting and supporting you in your counseling journey. I will help you find a better, more peaceful place in your life.
My philosophy is simple. Believe in yourself. Believe in the power you hold within your soul to change the world around you. Don't let others drag you down to their level. Surround yourself with supportive people. Work hard, but make fun one of your top priorities. Reach out and give of yourself to others in need., but also give back to YOU. You are stronger than you tell yourself you are. You can be that person you want to be with the power of positive thoughts and actions.
During our time together, I will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve, and not pass judgment. I will listen to your concerns, and provide you at times with gentle guidance. However, you are the captain of your own ship, so I will never insist on doing anything you don't feel comfortable with.
It took courage to seek help! I look forward to working with you.

I’m so blessed to have found Michelle. She is real and honest. I feel HEARD and listened too.
Michelle is very good at getting to the key issue and bringing it into focus for me.
She had opened my eyes to issues that I was not aware of.
Michelle is a very heartwarming person who knows how to listen. This was really important to me as I didn't have anyone who would understand my problems. She is also very patient, unlike other counsellors that I've experienced. I recomend her to any one who wants to feel accepted, heard and supported. Despite out time zone difference, she always tried her best at responding to me in time.
So far so good!
Michelle has been amazing for me. She really helped me change my life. She helped me overcome a lot of challenges I was facing and helped me to face my demons and challenge my anxiety. She has helped my relationship with my friends, family, and fiancé a ton. I am thankful to have been paired with Michelle.
Very helpful over this past year with some issues that I had following the loss of my husband. This has been the perfect media for grief counseling.
I am going through a lot in my life but unable to find time to see a therapist face to face. This is when I discovered BetterHelp via Google. Michelle has taken the time to get to know me & the best ways to help me. Nobody can know me in a week but she’s doing a great job so far. I don’t know if she knows how valuable it is to be understood. I would recommend her to anyone.
She was very knowledgeable and gave me advice I could use and helped me understand and look at my situation in a different way.
This was my first counseling experience and Michelle made it effortless. I’m confident that with her help, anyone can improve themselves.
She has been extremely helpful and understanding. She is also very good about reaching out to me, even if I haven’t reached out first.
The video session was extremely helpful for me. I had a lot of issues happening all at the same time and Michelle was very helpful in helping me deal with them and providing some advice of how to react. I felt much better after counseling.
Michelle is kind and considerate. She makes me feel sane and offers options for my scenarios. She’s quite direct and I love that. She’s always there to guide and support without pushing. Really helpful! Thank you.
Michelle has been so wonderful! She gives the best recommendations to help with what I'm going through, and she is so kind and understanding. I would recommend her 100 times if I could!
Michelle has been an amazing mentor to me and has helped me through so much. She is amazing at what she does.
Michelle has helped me understand that no one is perfect. I held a very high standard for myself and I kept on falling below that bar that I set. She helped me out through a time in my life where I thought I was just a failure. She’s really amazing at what she does.
So helpful with my first time in therapy, made it an easy experience and really put forth a good road map on how to get out of my depression!
I really appreciate Michelle Pellin's counseling. She offers many good suggestions, where I can better/improve my way of thinking in a much healthier direction. I feel understood and supported. The twice a day messenging and at least once a week live counselling, along with various worksheets, fits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend Michelle Pellin's counselling.
Michelle is a wonderful listener who is really friendly and understanding. I always felt comfortable telling her what was troubling me and she was able to help me develop ways to cope with a very transitional and complicated time in my life.
I am very grateful to have found Michelle. She was available to me when I just didn't know who else to turn to. I needed both objectivity and support, and I got all that from her and more. Thank you, Michelle, for your help.
I found comfort in the expertise of my counselor. It was easy to confide in her and to talk from my heart.
She was like a friend on the other side of the screen. I felt supported with kindness and compassion and she gave me such good tips to handle certain situations. She is a lovely human being and I am so lucky to work with her. :)
Very good, very professional
Michelle and I have communicated solely through messaging. In just a very short time, it appears as though she understands the most immediate things I am facing and is encouraging some small things to make a positive impact. Thus far, I have enjoyed working with her.
Michelle is very professional and listens very well to what you have to say.
Michele has provided very quick, good understanding and support.
She is very supportive and always has an ear on what you said. She does not forget you, she writes and is asking how it goes. It is very helpful to know there is someone here for you. Thank you again!
She's very attentive and I like her approachable style.
Michelle is a very good listener and empathetic of your troubles.
She is great! She always listens and checks in with me.
She is very good, smart and attentive.
I believe that Michelle is a kind hearted and helpful therapist. I enjoy working with her.
Michelle is always very quick to respond with constructive advice too. Despite it being quite an anonymous approach to counselling, she makes it a caring one too.
She is a very nice lady, she quickly heard my symptoms and came back with an extremely accurate diagnosis for how little information she had been given. I have no doubt that any second opinion would only solidify her suggestions.
Michelle has been great! Very kind, supportive and understanding. I feel comfortable to share anything and I really appreciated her reaching out when I didn't have the chance to connect.
We have started with Michelle just about 3 weeks ago. I like her responsiveness, support and her caring and positive attitude. I feel that I always have an ear to whisper my hardest thoughts to, and a hand to lean upon when I feel weak. I look forward continuing working with Michelle towards my goals here. Really appreciate her professionalism and true interest in me.
Michelle is a really nice counselor to talk to. She's very friendly any you can tell her anything. I like her a lot.
