My approach to therapy centers on helping clients discover their purpose and meaning in life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool for change, and I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to make their own decisions and work toward their goals.
In addition to my private practice, I have experience providing both individual and group therapy across a variety of clinical settings. Much of my work has involved supporting clients impacted by alcohol and drug dependency through group facilitation and prevention services.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. I also hold a certification in Gerontology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
My areas of specialty include:
• Substance and alcohol abuse
• Geriatric issues
• Depression and anxiety
• Women’s issues
• Life transitions

Michelle is my favorite outlet. I have been working with Michelle for about a year now, and we have gotten to know one another better with every session. Her messaging resonates with my needs, and she has the ability to fill in the gaps that I don't see in my issues or topics. I would recommend Michelle to anyone I know.

Michelle is a great listener and does not ‘sugarcoat’ things, which makes therapy more effective for me. She listens to and validates my concerns as well as offers me helpful strategies to break negative cycles. I feel she honors my perspective and provides constructive ways to counter negative thought patterns. I would definitely recommend her to anyone going through major life changes.
