Hello all! My name is Nakeisha McGee and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment, in theory or in practice, since 2005. I have managed school and community based programming and provided services for individuals, children, teens, those who have experienced varying types of trauma and those suffering from varying addictions both in patient and outpatient care. I also counsel couples and have been trained in the Prepare and Enrichment assessment in which I served as an Enrichment Feedback Coach.
I have utilized several different treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Rational Emotive Therapy. The one I use most for couples therapy is Intersubjective Therapy, in which the client is the broken relationship and is the focus of treatment. Generally speaking, I have a laid back approach to therapy where my goal is to build a working relationship with you to see issues from your point of view. This is one of the best ways to guide you to your own version of healing and eliminates me "telling you what to do."
I look forward to working with and helping you along your journey to your next level of greatness. Let's change your world, one session at a time. :-)

She is very patient and kind to me. I need time to form my responses to some of her questions. She is extremely patient with me. She does not push too much. Very kind and understanding.
Within the first call I felt relief and a weight lifted off my shoulders. It was a weight I didn’t know I was carrying but all of a sudden it felt manageable because this wonderful woman seemed to hone in on the problems at hand give them a name and let me know she was going to help me find solutions. I really cannot thank her enough and I look forward to the healing journey ahead.
Nakeisha is professional, compassionate, and she has helped me significantly through my family issues.
She has been a great help climbing this wall.
Nakeisha is great! She is such a great help in this phase I am going. I am very happy with her, very happy to have her as my therapist!
I like her and feel that she is helping me. The only problem I have is not being able to communicate with her on the weekends. Other than that I think she's great.
I am extremely happy with my counseling sessions with Nakeisha. I feel like I am actually making progress, and she has given me tools to continue my progress on my own between sessions.
Nakeisha is an amazing lady! I have not had the pleasure of being with her long but she truly goes above and beyond to understand your situation so she can offer her best advice.
I really enjoy talking with Nakeisha. She is always willing to talk about whatever thing pops up in my mind to talk about. She never makes me feel embarrassed. I feel like I could tell her anything, which is good, because you should be able to tell your counselor anything.
This has been the first time I have sought counseling. It has been a great process and Miss McGee has been great. The platform of being able to sit on my porch with a cup of coffee and just get it all out is awesome. Nakeisha has given me the assistance I was looking for.
Nakeisha has been the support I needed to understand my traumas and other troubles that I have faced. She has also helped me keep focus on the things that matter to me, and has always kept the line of communication open when I've had harder days.
Nakeisha McGee was matched to me based on my description of myself and my problems. She is great so far, and I was amazed at how we were able to get straight to the point of why I was reaching out.
