Nancy Hartman, LCMHC
About me
I am a licensed counselor living in North Carolina with 25 years of experience helping clients. I believe you are the expert when it comes to knowing your own story and that your strengths will help you to overcome the personal issues that challenge you at this time. Whether you need help with family conflicts, marriage or relationship issues, trauma experiences, coping with grief and loss, religious wounds, motivation, self esteem, building confidence or something else, I believe that taking a first step to sign up for therapy requires courage. You can feel good about choosing a happier future and taking courage to get started.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered therapy. I am trained in Brain Spotting, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and consider Attachment Theory and Personality Mapping important windows for understanding the self. I offer a supportive and healing environment for those struggling with personal relationships, family difficulties, grief & loss, religious wounds, social anxiety, workplace challenges, domestic violence, and those who desire and are willing to work toward personal transformation. With a broad Christian-informed perspective, I provide guidance that honors individual spiritual beliefs while focusing on holistic emotional wellness.
I help clients develop better self-understanding, work through feelings of isolation and identity issues and build more meaningful connections with self, others and God. Whether you're experiencing trauma responses, processing relationship changes, or seeking clarity about life purpose, I intend to provide clarity and walk alongside you with understanding and professional expertise.
