I am a licensed professional counselor with more than 15 years experience supporting individuals, couples and families in changing their lives for the better. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to be happy and fulfilled and the ability to move in that direction. I tend to use a solution-focused approach when I work with clients, but also draw from a number of other models and approaches, when it is appropriate for the issue and the individual. Respect for each person's perspective is a core value for me. I was trained in family systems and family-of-origin work, and my clients often find that background to be very helpful in understanding and resolving issues. I also use cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) and person-centered therapy. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and I work with each individual to find the most meaningful way forward toward effective, lasting change.
Some of the issues I often work with my clients to address include:
Relationship and communication issues
Rebuilding after separation and divorce
Grief and loss
Life phase issues ("empty nest," retirement, later life)
I look forward to working with you!

I have had terrible experiences with counselors and therapists over the years. I had really just written therapy off entirely, but going through a highly contentious divorce forced me to try again. I am so glad I did. Nancy has helped me through the hardest year of my life and I’m not sure I would’ve made it without her support. We’ve worked through everything from my divorce, to new relationships, to loss of friendships, parenting struggles, my own parental abandonment, blended family issues, career/purpose struggles, and so much more! I’m so thankful for Nancy!
