I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Wyoming (LPC #432). I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA degree and obtained a master's degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I have over 20 years of experience in private practice in the field of psychotherapy. Because I practice in rural Wyoming, I am a generalist in terms of the types of mental health issues I address and the demographics of my clients.
I make it my practice to treat each client with "unconditional positive regard." Each of us has positive qualities and areas in which we can improve. I see mental health therapy as a collaboration between the client and myself.
My therapy style has also been tailored to the needs of that wide range of clients. The type of therapy provided is decided upon by mutual agreement between my client and me. Typically, more than one style of therapy is used throughout sessions. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, rational emotive therapy, and compassionate psychology therapy are primarily used.
Therapy is about understanding one's own actions, learning new techniques and skills to develop improved communication and coping skills, and then putting those to use with the support, encouragement, and assistance of your therapist.
Additional areas of focus: Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Adoption and Foster Care, Aging and Geriatric Issues, Commitment Issues, Communication Problems, Control Issues, Divorce and Separation, Emptiness, Family Problems, Guilt and Shame, Impulsivity, Infidelity, Isolation / Loneliness, Life Purpose, Midlife Crisis, Mood Disorders, Obsessions, Compulsions, and OCD, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Personality Disorders, Post-traumatic Stress, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Self-Love, Women's Issues, Young Adult Issues

Nancy is always on point when it comes to timeliness and especially patience. She is always supportive and lets me process situations and decisions myself without telling me what I should and should not do.
