I am a Mental Health and Addiction therapist licensed in Ohio , Michigan and South Carolina with over 15 years of experience . I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, self harm and family counseling. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have worked with adolescents, those in addiction, and adults.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in humor in treatment as well. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and dialectal behavioral. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My hours are 8 am to 4pm Monday through Friday . I have different hours for sessions and those include nights and weekends. Please visit my schedule. I have times and days blocked out for those who need special times like early morning, evenings and weekends. Please ask so I can open an appointment. I am very accommodating to scheduling. To be honest I was skeptical of therapy when my friend suggested I meet with Nancy. From our first meeting she made me feel comfortable and heard. Her method of using tools, homework, and exercises helps you to feel like you are improving week by week. She is compassionate and understanding. She let me know upfront that working through my trauma was going to be hard and she was right, it was hard. But she was also right there helping guide me to a place of healing. Every week felt like we were moving closer to my goals and looking back, we were. It's been about a year and I can honestly say that Nancys help changed my life. I used to get overwhelmed and lash out or freeze. Now I am able to evaluate what is happening and calmly respond. I am much better at self care and that makes me better at caring for my family. If you are looking for someone who will help you do the work, I can't recommend Nancy enough!

My first attempt at counseling did not go as I imagined and unfortunately I did not feel very comfortable with or confident that the counselor I had was a good fit for me. However, I did not want to give up so I did what was necessary to get paired with a different counselor; that is when I was paired with Nancy Reali.
I must say that Nancy makes counseling very easy for me! I look forward to having my counseling sessions with her! Nancy Reali understands trauma and has a genuine interest in supporting me. She knows her stuff and is a sincere listener. So far, she has helped me understand my why. Nancy is unlike any therapist I’ve ever had. She not only listens, but digs down deep to the main thing that’s been going on in your life.
