About me

Self-discovery is an all encompassing journey of getting to know yourself better. Learning what makes you tick, what makes you happy, and your communication style empowers true authenticity through self-awareness.

My name is Narissa Huntley and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Counselor in North Carolina. My experience comes from providing direct mental health counseling to kids, teens and adults with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, trauma, and life transitions. My experience is varied across settings as I have provided individual and family therapy in private practice, home-based, school settings, homeless shelters and community mental health agencies.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and solution-focused techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Narissa is very understanding and passionate when it comes to others. She listens, she’s not judgmental, and leaves the door open for you to discuss whatever with her. That is very rare nowadays and her level of expertise in empathizing and listening to me has reassured me that I’m in the best hands of care as far as my mental health. I love her so much and barely know her but that’s how amazing she is! I would recommend her to anyone who is not only looking for a listening ear but someone who is dependable and puts her best effort forward being there for you in any way that she can and at any time !

I’m very thankful l found someone so understanding and knowledgeable on my first try. She genuinely cares. I’ve felt comfortable enough to be completely honest with my trauma since day one.
