About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with over 10 years of experience in private practice. I am a Certified Telehealth Mental Health Counselor and have provided online sessions since 2020 that Covid -19 and pandemic started. I continued with Telehealth sessions because it enabled me to cover rural areas in Georgia, as well as helping clients who struggle with commute to the therapist's office, or they need more flexibility due to their work schedules or family obligations.

I hold two Master's degrees, Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ADD, relationship issues, dating, parenting issues, career choice and challenges, immigration and adjustments, cultural struggles, attachments and codependency, narcissistic abuse, mood disorders, and phobias.

My therapy style is warm and interactive and my clients leave their sessions feeling more hopeful and more courageous to take steps towards their treatment goals, harmony, and peace.

I meet my clients where they are in their lives and help them to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Through positive regards and unbiased therapeutically relationship, my clients find courage to re-examine their lives and their thoughts and feelings about themselves and others, to come up with new narratives that leads them to a more fulfilling life.

My approach in therapy is researched based that is supported by years of studies and various psychological theories. I use many psychological theories, approaches, and techniques such as Adlerian therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, solution focused, etc to assist my clients.

I believe healing starts from loving yourself and having the courage to change what has not worked so far.

I look forward to work with you and help you find that piece of puzzle that is missing in your life.

I provide therapy to individuals and families, LGBTQ community, college students, and immigrant families.

I speak English and Farsi.

She’s amazing and guided me in healing. Thank you so much.

Written on Apr 15, 2024 after therapy with Nazila for 11 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, sleeping disorders, self esteem, anger management, coping with life changes, coaching, and adhd

I don’t know where I would be without Nazila. She jumped right in during my very first session and made me feel at ease by just understanding. And when I realized just how much she understood me, it gave me the confidence and trust to move forward in therapy. That is an invaluable service. Nazila asks the necessary questions, but is extremely compassionate. I would highly recommend Nazila to anyone in need of therapy services.

Nazila has a wisdom and kindness that I feel I have been *BLESSED* to have been paired with. She really does listen, and will find ways to challenge you, even if you feel like you are self-aware. I am looking forward to seeing the person I will become with Nazila's guidance.
