My name is Nichole Garcia and I am a licensed masters social worker, LMSW. I have been working in the field for about 7 years and started out working with children and teens at a residential shelter in 2012. I also have experience working with adults with bipolar disorder, anger issues, trauma and abuse, personality disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, the LGBTQ population, relationship issues, and many more. I have worked with those adults since 2017 at a community mental health agency (CMH). While working at a CMH, I have gained knowledge in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) where I have had the privilege to attend multiple trainings in DBT and prolonged exposure. I also have been able to attend trainings for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), eating disorders, and
substance use disorders.
I graduated at Wayne State University in 2012 with my Bachelors in Social Work and then in 2013 I enrolled in a 10 month accelerated masters program where I was able to obtain my Masters in Social Work. While attending college, I completed multiple internships working at homeless shelters, residential facilities, and the psychiatric ward.

I was nervous to try therapy for the first time. Nicole made me feel so comfortable from the beginning, she is very easy to talk to. She always checks in on me and responds quickly to my messages. She is very compassionate and non judgemental. She has provided me with a lot of coping skills, and has made me feel very supported. I highly recommend her!
Thank you for all of your support as I worked on myself.
Really pleased to be working with Nichole and BetterHelp at getting a better understanding of my mental health.
Wonderful person, she helped me when I was at my lowest and brought me back to starting to feel myself again. I can't think of a better person to talk to when I am having a bad day and recommended many things for me to do, including establishing a support system and coping skills. Thanks for everything!
Honestly the best I’ve ever had! She’s so supportive, knowledgeable and gave me tools to help me and I wouldn’t want anyone else!
Nichole is great! Although it’s only been a month, I can tell a huge difference in myself and the way I interact with others. She completely understood everything I talked about and clearly cared about my overall improvement by setting up worksheets that relate to my issues and conflicts I will recommend her to any and everyone who will listen. I’m very grateful to have worked with her.
She's amazing, she checks on me very often and she's always available for anything. I feel very safe to talk to her and she's teaching me a lot of coping skills to help me in this journey. I highly recommend her as she's super professional and takes her job seriously.
Nichole is wonderful!
