Hello my name is Nicole and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I have been practicing for the last 15 years in a community behavioral health setting. I spent the first 9 years working as a substance use disorder clinician, facilitating groups at all of the different levels of care and conducting individual sessions. The past 6 years I have been working as a supervisor in an Outpatient Program and have been supervising clinicians in both substance use disorder and mental health programs while continuing to carry a mental health caseload. I have had the opportunity to work with clients related to addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma, among other diagnosis. I have completed my undergraduate program in addictions studies and have also completed a Masters in Education program majoring in Mental Health Counseling.
I feel that my counseling style is warm and inviting while trying to remain focused on my clients individual needs. I work to meet clients were they are by approaching the counseling sessions with understanding and compassion. I use techniques from a cognitive behavioral (CBT) and motivation interviewing approach to work with my clients to determine their treatment goals and needs.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
