About me

I am licensed in Wisconsin with 25 years of professional work experience. I spent the first half of my career engaged in direct practice, providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples and families. I moved into leadership roles midway through my career with an interest in having a larger impact on organizations and communities, and oversaw Behavioral Health services in a variety of settings so have extensive experience with the full continuum of care. I have recently returned to direct practice and hope to share my knowledge and expertise with individuals, couples and families struggling with mental health, substance use, relationship and other life issues.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, motivation, self esteem and confidence, personality disorders, mood disorders and depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I take a client-centered approach, and will help you form a therapy plan to meet your unique and specific needs, focusing on the things you choose to work on and at your pace.

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. Looking forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Olin "Kirk" Yauchler. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I started working with Kirk Yauchler a little less than a month ago, and in the first two weeks alone he opened my eyes to a handful of things that have been paramount to my therapy journey. He's very responsive — I never feel like I'm waiting around or wondering where things stand.

One thing I especially appreciate is that he opens each session by running back through what we've covered. It sounds simple, but it makes it so much easier to stay on track, and it lets me actually see where I was before and how far I've come. That kind of continuity has made a real difference.

If you're looking for a therapist who's engaged, organized, and genuinely moves things forward, I'd recommend him.
