Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW) in the states of Nevada and Rhode Island. I have been working as a therapist for 8 years but have over 15 years of community organizing and educating with an intersectional lens on race, women's, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
My therapy style is client focused, with the idea that YOU are the expert of your own life experience and I am here to assist you to become independent. I believe in treating all with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and honesty . My therapist is wonderful. Every time I have a session it feels like I’m talking with a friend. For me that conversational style is more beneficial and relatable and it makes me more comfortable. Orion is extremely helpful and is easy to talk to and to open up to and that is a very rare experience. This notion is based solely on trust and I trust him completely. He listens and knows when to step in to help and when to step back and listen. Someone that is always trying to help is a great but someone that knows how to help and most importantly when to help is crucial to any recovery process. He finds your strengths and incorporates them into recovery and doesn’t give a “one fit all” approach. We go through life at our own speed and we need to be kind to ourselves, it sounds so simple and cliche but there is a different between hearing that and realizing that. I am lucky to have him on my side.

Orion is really great to talk to and knows how to ask the hard hitting questions that give you a better understanding of the situation you feel some type of way about. They create a space where you can speak freely, and in this environment, they're very attentive to what you're saying and how you're saying it. There have been a few times where I asked a question about my feelings, and they showed me that I knew the answer whether I wanted to acknowledge it or not - because I had just said it moments before. Orion is an excellent therapist, and Peter (their cat) makes therapy a little more special.
