Parker Anderson, LPC
About me
My philosophy in the counseling relationship first centers on my goal to create a space where you feel safe, cared for, respected and welcomed to explore deeper layers of your personal identity. We collaborate to name goals for your care for mental health care and dual diagnosis counseling. Care will include overarching social justice lens, our conversations will naturally include your cultural identities and social locations as well as the boarder contexts of your lived experience. Through our collaboration, we will work towards exploring your personal worldview to affirm your strengths. I am honored to bare witness to your story. My clinical training has been focused on addictions, crisis intervention/acute care settings, grief and bereavement, and sexual/gender identity with adults. I have worked in co-occurring residential, intensive outpatient and inpatient for the past 7 years. I work to focus on mind, body and spirit in the counseling room.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Parker Anderson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Working with Parker has really changed my perspective about online therapy services like betterhelp; while I initially thought building rapport would be so difficult in this manner, it happened in record timing. Parker is always quick to send a link, recommendation, or resource related to topics or challenges I am discussing, and clearly has worked hard to develop a vast encyclopedia of resources to share. Working with them underlines the delicate balance between holding the personability required to establish a trusting therapuetic relationship, as well as the clear designation of support roles; the appropriate awareness to my needs as a patient.

Parker is truly a gem. Emotionally intelligent, deep, caring and the right amount professional while still being so humane. I feel so safe with him. He just gets it. Hope to continue working with him for a long time and would highly recommend.

He does an excellent job of meeting a person where they are at in life, coming along side, and helping them move forward
