Raquel Lobaina, LPC
About me
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 11 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges. I believe therapy should be a safe and comfortable space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change without feeling judged.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, difficult emotions, major life changes, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out for support.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and individualized. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while adapting treatment to fit your personality, needs, and goals. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, develop effective coping skills, and feel more confident moving forward.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it can also be the beginning of something positive. Whether you need a place to talk, help working through a difficult situation, or support making changes in your life, I’m here to meet you where you are and help you take the next step.

It is early yet but so far I have found Raquel to be very insightful and to ask very thought-provoking and helpful questions that get me to think about my situation and what I want to do about it. She is a good listener and very encouraging. So far she's the best therapist I've had.

Raquel has a way of making me feel safe to talk about things that I don't talk about with even those closest to me. She listens intently and asks the questions I don't think to ask myself. I feel very confident that I am in really good hands. If you've experienced childhood trauma, grief of losing someone you love or even betrayal of your partner, or anything in between, she will see you. It feels good to finally be seen. Thank you, Raquel!
