About me

It takes a great deal of courage to reach out for help when struggling emotionally, physically, and or behaviorally. Let me introduce myself. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), who has been working as a therapist, with a variety of clients, for the last 15 years. It is important to me that everyone be treated with respect and dignity no matter what they are dealing with in their life. I achieved a Masters Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University and have completed 70 hours towards Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification.

As a therapist it is my goal to provide compassion, understanding, and support without discrimination, stigmatization, and or judgement. I have worked effectively with clients who are dealing with Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Anger, Bipolar, Career Challenges, Depression, Domestic Violence, Medical Issues/Diagnoses, Parenting Problems, PTSD, Stress, Trauma, and Weight Loss. Your struggle is real no matter how difficult or what others may think is not important.
My therapy style is interactive and client centered. My therapeutic approach consists of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Impact, Gestalt, and Solution Focused along with therapeutic techniques and activities, based on individual needs, to help you to achieve your goals. I am straightforward but also empathetic to the needs of my clients.

If you are ready and able to commit to taking the first step, we can work together to help you to achieve a happier and more fulfilling life through a commitment towards change. I am here to support and empower you throughout the process. I’m excited and looking forward to be working with you!

Rebecca is amazing. She is helping me.

Written on Aug 18, 2026 after therapy with Rebecca for 2 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, family conflicts, grief, career difficulties, and coping with life changes

Rebecca is empathetic and at the same time professional. I have benefited from the deft way in which she moves betweeen the two ways of being to help me feel human, valued and connected, while at the same time offering me guidance through pithy questions, affirmation through example and challenge through suggestion. She's been a real anchor in some very turbulent times.

Written on Aug 11, 2026 after therapy with Rebecca for 1 year and 6 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship issues, and coping with life changes

She is excellent, down to earth and I feel I can open up even about stuff I am ashamed of.

Written on Jul 10, 2026 after therapy with Rebecca for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, anger management, and bipolar disorder

Rebecca presents in a thorough, professional, and yet personal and friendly way. She's there on time, every time, and her expertise is readily evident because she's responsive and attentive to my needs and concerns, no matter how obscure. She's more like a friend than a therapist, and she's helped me become completely comfortable and open in the therapeutic process.

Rebecca has provided me with the tools I needed to challenge those negative, intrusive thoughts that filled me with anxiety and dread. I feel like she is truly on my side and is excited to see me succeed.

Written on May 26, 2026 after therapy with Rebecca for 4 years and 4 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, lgbt, family conflicts, and self esteem

Rebecca is truly amazing. She’s the perfect balance of “straightforward” and “inspirational”.
