Rita Dellatore, LCSW
About me
Taking the first step and reaching out for help can take courage because it is not always an easy thing to do, so you should feel proud of yourself for taking the initiative to wanting a healthier life. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of clients in several different settings. I would say that I am most effective with people that are motivated and have a desire to want better out of life. As scary as it may feel, they are willing to be their true, genuine self and together, we will work as a team to build on your strengths and learn new coping skills to help get through many of life's challenges.
As a practitioner, with over two decades of working with individuals and families, in a variety of settings, one of the most important things that I bring to a therapeutic relationship is authenticity in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Building self-esteem, confidence and learning new coping skills are some of the ways in which I assist my clients.
I have extensive experience in the areas of social struggles, anxiety, depression and in working through past trauma. I take pride in helping others become the best version of themselves and I enjoy learning about others' stories, while building a safe space for my clients to discuss and work through both past and current obstacles.
