I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the counselor, having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.
I focus on clients self-awareness, self-acceptance, and empower them to change self-sabotaging behaviors.

After the passing of my Father, I was in complete shock and heavy grief. I knew immediately that I needed help, but it was going to be someone who could truly understand where I was coming from. Dr Martin quite possibly saved my life. I'm glad it never got to that point of thinking, but it very well could have. Over 4.5 months, we spoke about everything I was feeling, and I learned talking about it was the only way I was going to heal. She gave me new perspectives and tools to use moving forward to grieve, but also help my new focus on life. I cannot thank her enough for what she did for me.

Dr. Martin is excellent! I started BetterHelp when I was really struggling with some things, and was fortunately matched with Dr. Martin. She helped me work through some things and taught me skills that I will continue to use forever.

I came to Rita what felt like helpless and broken. She was there to talk and text whenever I needed support. I am a 100% changed person and can manage life easily on my own now. And I am so great full for that!

Our time together was brief due to my schedule but I felt she listened really well and offered great insight and would highly recommend her to others. Thank you.
