About me

I am licensed in North Carolina with 30 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, & parenting issues.

My approach to therapy is simple. Visualize getting into your car or whatever it is you drive. To get where you are going you look out the windshield. You use the rear view mirror as needed but you don't drive looking backwards. You drive by having vision and a plan to get where you're going.

The therapy process is very similar. Teaching ourselves to live life looking forward and having a plan is how we move forward in life. We learn from the past. We see patterns and trends and use this information to make adjustments, but we live by having a vision for ourselves, finding purpose and in the moment of choice, exercise integrity to our core fundamental beliefs/values.

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Robert is kind, considerate, and an excellent listener. He is intuitive and thinks out of the box. I have seen him for years because I value his level of expertise and recommendations on my mental health. I highly recommend Robert if you are also an intelligent professional, with high standards for yourself. He knows how to help you find areas you can grow in, and is supportive in the process.

My first session with Robert was great. He was totally attentive to me and was hearing what I was saying, providing insight on my status that I hadn't seen from that perspective.
