About me

Greetings ~ My Name is Ronald Seletsky (He|Him|His). I have been working in the fields of Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse and Human Services for over 38 years in a variety of executive leadership, management, hospital administration, health-care insurance and other professional roles as a job coach specialist (non-certified) and mentor along with providing 1:1 counseling and group therapy for individuals across the Life-span for those who have been challenged with job/career related concerns, anxiety, depression, sexual orientation, and those who have been involved with Foster Care, Guardianship and Adoption related systems.

Though my primary spoken language is English, I have worked with non-native English-speaking clients in particular those who are from Mandarin and Spanish speaking backgrounds. My approach is strength-based, person-centered, humanistic and mindfulness-based with results and solution focused outcomes through a motivational interviewing process. My journey here on BetterHelp with Ronald has been truly incredible. Everything from his exceptional support and guidance throughout our sessions together is so much more than what I expected given this is my very first therapy (in life!). His compassionate listening and insightful feedback made me feel truly seen and understood, and I was beyond amazed to see my own personal growth. For that, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for his work here on the platform. Highly recommended!

I wasn't confident in therapy until I met with Ronald. I feel like he is very intelligent and a great therapist and I feel he understands and listens to me well and is able to digest what I'm saying well, even if I may not myself. He made me believe in therapy again and I am very happy to have met and be paired with him. I don't always know what to say but I always enjoy our sessions.

I’ve been working with Ron for about two years now and it has been quite the healing journey. He really lets you run the sessions however you want but always makes an effort to leave off on a positive note which I truly appreciate.
