About me

I received my masters in social work from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. Currently, I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R) with over 12 years of experience working with a diverse population of families, couples, adults and groups at a large non-profit organization whom suffer from depression, anxiety, panic disorders, personality disorders, AD/HD disorder etc. However, I have particular interest in working with persons, who are struggling with various life transitions such as entering college, retirement, new or ending marriage/ relationship, new mothers and fathers and military families amongst other transitional periods that life brings them to increase their self-esteem as well as to help them gain a deeper understanding of their symptoms so they could led a fulfilling life. Lastly, working with biracial or multicultural individuals or interracial couples that are struggling with various aspects of their selves or relationship such as family issues and/or interpersonal difference is a passion of mine.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy but I particularly draw on Psychodynamic, solution focused therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques and tailor them to the individual needs of my clients who are unique in their own ways. If you are seeking a caring, warm, empathic and genuine practitioner, then we would be a good fit. We will work collaboratively to solve problems, increase your self-confidence and create healing so you can live a mentally healthy life.
