Samuel Myrick, LCSW
About me
I have worked as a clinician for the last ten years as therapist, with a strong history in supporting individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes and exploring how to find a sense of balance between their past, their present, and their hopes for the future. My practice centers on creating affirming, compassionate spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, young adults, and those experiencing relationship challenges, trauma, and addiction, and I myself am an individual in long-term recovery.
I bring a depth of understanding to issues like self-love, communication barriers, isolation, and personal growth. My approach is deeply client-centered, focusing on healing from shame, managing panic and mood disorders, and supporting healthy relationship dynamics.
With expertise in trauma-informed care, I'm committed to helping clients explore attachment patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop resilient coping strategies. Whether you're struggling with chronic pain, relationship transitions, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
My goal is to walk alongside you, honoring your unique journey and empowering you to create meaningful, positive change in your life.

Even though I've only had one therapy session I know that my therapist is more than willing to provide me with whatever tools I need to navigate my life and emotions. I really appreciate the forwardness and communication we've had. I look forward to more.

Samuel is very easy to open up to as opposed to other therapists I have seen in the past. He doesn’t ask too personal of questions too quickly or pressure me to open up. He makes it clear that he wants to go along with whatever pace you’re comfortable with. Other therapists have made me feel essentially violated or insistent upon essentially controlling me as a person. Samuel actually seems like he wants to help me work on becoming a better person instead of exposing me or telling me what to do.
