Hello my name is San Juanita (Janie) Diaz. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I have been a counselor for 23 years. I have a Bachelor Degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Counseling and Guidance. I have worked with individuals from the ages of 5 to 100plus. I have worked in a variety of settings addressing different issues. My work experience includes working in nursing homes, outpatient clinics, vocational training programs. Women's shelter, and substance abuse facilities. In addition, I have worked years providing counseling services to families involved with Child Protective Services. I've tried out many different therapists over the past several years and Janie is by far the best listener. She's incredibly good at actively listening, not interrupting, and not making her patients feel judged. She's generally a very nice, wholesome, welcoming, and thoughtful person. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who needs someone to listen to them rather than immediately attempt to fix their problems before they know what's going on, as some therapists do.
