Sarah is absolutely brilliant, she makes me think about myself in ways that I never have done before. She is never condescending or patronising, and only looks to help improve my mental health. She took away my fears of therapy!

I've not been working with Sarah long but I feel a strong supportive presence from her. She is gentle yet firm and her words have stuck with me in between our phone conversations which, granted, have not been many but I trust in her.

Sarah is an outstanding professional. She is not only extraordinarily attentive, caring and thoughtful as a therapist but her advice is always incredibly insightful and adapted to the situation, thought or question we might be discussing. She does not just listen, she prompts and guides the conversation and will chime in with little questions or notes to help you processing and formulating sometimes complex thoughts and feelings. She will provide relevant and relatable examples and anecdotes to help you understand your own situation from multiple angles and filters and follow up with advice or ideas for you to take action. She is a wonderfully kind and empathetic and smart, and deserves all the praise as a BetterHelp professional. I highly recommend her.

Written by V.A. on May 08, 2020 after counseling with Sarah for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, eating disorders, parenting issues, self esteem, and bipolar disorder

My partner and I have both been seeing Sarah deal with some of our individual issues as well as for help navigating issues that affect each other. She's super balanced and fair, responds really quickly, she's friendly but challenges you to look at your own actions and figure out WHY the behaviors exist. So far, she's been really helpful and I can already see us both making a lot of progress.

Written by R.I. on Apr 19, 2020 after counseling with Sarah for 3 days on issues concerning family conflicts, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, self esteem, and career difficulties

I was in an anxiety hell when I get in contact with Sarah, as I have experienced some changes at the worst time possible. After a couple of contacts with Sarah, I feel so much better now. I knew to open myself up and look for professional counsel will be helpful. But I did not realize how bad I needed it. And most importantly how Sarah was so patient and professional to guide me through the process. Thank you so much, Sarah.

Written by M.E. on Mar 03, 2020 after counseling with Sarah for 4 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, and self esteem

Sarah is a wonderful counsellor. She always listens in a non judgemental way and often gives practical solutions to problems. She checks up on you even if you don't speak to her for a bit. She genuinely cares. One of the most fantastic things is that she somehow turns around situations so I see them in a different, more positive way and gives me different ideas I never would have thought of.

Written by A.S. on Oct 25, 2019 after counseling with Sarah for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, self esteem, bipolar disorder, and coping with life changes

I've been using BetterHelp for less then a month and I'm really impressed. I joined at a very bad time and Sarah has done nothing but listen to every silly worry and gives me a lot to think and talk about. I'm really surprised how often I get a response I almost didn't think it be so often so I slack a little myself on replying. I've never really spoken to a counselor in my teen or adult years, but I've talked to people, and this is just different I cant put my finger on why but I feel comfort and safety.

I’ve been talking with Sarah for a few weeks now. Having someone I can just quickly message and chat with has really changed how I function in daily life. When I’m feeling overwhelmed or anxious, Sarah is just one message away and I instantly feel better getting my thoughts and feelings out.

Written by L.I. on Oct 10, 2019 after counseling with Sarah for 6 days on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, grief, and sleeping disorders

Sarah has been working with me for just under a week, helping me through post-natal depression, PTSD, anxiety and dealing with grief. I've seen a significant difference in my outlook on life and i'm getting there slowly. Thank you for helping me find my inner strength and helping me see things clearly.

Sarah has been a wonderful resource for information and has brought forth very valuable questions that have helped guide me along a very tough time in my life. While we haven't had a chance to talk at length, she has given me things to think about that have changed my perspective. Having a non-bias space to expel my energy, thoughts and feelings has proven to be invaluable.

Dr. Spiro has been a pleasure to work with. She asked me the right questions that itself lead me to unravelling the solutions to my obstacles, therefore making it insightful, thought-provoking, empowering too. I felt she respected, organized and re-articulated my thoughts and processes--giving acknowledgement and encouragement along the way. I had questions also, and she was upfront and clear about what she could assess and what she was not in a position to. Such clarity is positive. I would definitely recommend Dr. Spiro and the better health platform to anyone looking to better their mental and emotional health and work through their difficult life situations in a healthy and wholesome way.
