I have been employed in the healthcare field since early 2012 and has held various roles in several health systems ranging from Direct Care, to Population Health Management and Managed Care Utilization. The bulk of my experience has been in the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders across a broad continuum of care.
I have faith in the idea that people can, and do change. In my experience, change is not always a linear process. Often, when trying to change a situation or behavior, people fall short or stumble. Being able to truly evaluate an individual's strengths and building upon those, allows for the needed empowerment to overcome our barriers and stumbling blocks.

I have a specific passion for helping individuals and families to realize that recovery from addiction issues is realistic and achievable. I have experience in providing substance abuse counseling to adolescent and adult populations. I realize that addiction does not discriminate and I feel comfortable in treating individuals from all backgrounds.
Most recently, my continued education in the addiction counseling field has lead to my training at the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center where I am certified as a Tobacco/Nicotine treatment specialist. This education has been essential in helping many of my clients to overcome their addiction to nicotine/vaping/smoking.
