About me

I am licensed in Colorado with 12 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, self esteem, confidence, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes.

My journey has taken me through various correctional settings, where I've had the privilege of working with adult clients of all ages, helping them navigate the complexities of Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Trauma, Personality Disorders, and Addiction. My experience includes everything from providing resources and meeting case management needs to developing coping skills and processing trauma, all aimed at helping clients heal and live the lives they desire. During my six years at Jefferson Center for Mental Health on their Criminal Justice Team, I worked extensively with clients who had dual diagnoses, addressing many intricate dynamics along the way.

I believe that therapy is most effective when it's a collaborative effort between the therapist and client. Open and honest communication, along with building strong rapport, are the cornerstones of my approach. I meet clients where they are, working with them to develop a treatment plan that focuses on their goals and helps them move towards a healthy and fulfilling life. I firmly believe that every individual is valuable and created with a purpose. My goal is to help clients recognize their worth and live out their purpose.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, tailored to meet clients where they are. I utilize a variety of methods, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused approaches. This flexibility allows me to adapt to the unique needs of each client, ensuring that our work together is both effective and meaningful. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
