Dr. S and I get along well as we are same age, similar tastes, etc. I find her practical with my everyday questions and challenges as I'm not super into all the theory of psychology - just want to get through things doing my best. She also offers lots of advice on keeping brain, body, mood healthy. Plus I like having the texting as it feels like I can get through tough moments by pinging her and she responds quickly.

I finally gained the courage and motivation to get into therapy, and I'm thankful I took the leap. I was going through abandonment and attachment issues, as well as anxiety, and Shannon was able to pinpoint the root causes of those struggles as well as provide me realistic ways to rise above those situations. After a few months, I can genuinely say I reached my therapy goals, and I am grateful for Shannon's leading and guidance for helping me through my inner turmoil.

Shannon is an amazing human and a wonderful therapist. I was afraid to start therapy for years because I thought the therapist would want to dig up my past and make me talk about all of my painful trauma. Shannon is the opposite of that! She reminds you that you a VICTOR not a VICTIM! She is so encouraging, you can tell she cares about her clients and really wants us to succeed and have peace in our minds. She is very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. I leave our sessions feeling heard, validated, and motivated to reach my full potential. She understands the importance of teaching us self care, self preservation, and healthy ways to enrich our entire beings. She truly feels like an ally!

Shannon is great! She's a good therapist, but more importantly, has the right balance of professional/personal experience, simple yet profound philosophy, and a straightforwardness that I hadn't found in previous therapists. She doesn't shy away or miss anything. She doesn't overwhelm by being rushed or distracted, nor underwhelm by saying nothing at all. She's helped me make more progress in a week than I had in years, getting right to the heart of my issues with a few simple exercises. Really glad I'm getting to work with her.
