Shannon Mick, LPC
About me
As a licensed counselor in Pennsylvania, I bring over 15 years of dedicated experience supporting individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes. My practice centers on helping clients manage anxiety, develop self-compassion, discover life purpose, and heal from challenging experiences. I'm the founder of Finish Stronger Counseling.
I specialize in addressing anxiety, trauma recovery, body image concerns, and emotional struggles related to stress, depression, and life transitions, especially endurance runners and athletes who want to feel strong in both mind and body.
As a semi-professional ultramarathoner and assistant running coach myself, I truly understand the unique mental challenges that come with the sport: DNFs, DNSs, injury recovery, training balance, body image, and the relentless drive to push your limits. My holistic, movement-informed approach blends evidence-based therapy with real-world strategies that honor the mind-body connection athletes live every day.
My approach is grounded in Christian values and a conservative therapeutic framework, creating a supportive environment where clients can explore personal growth and emotional healing.
I understand that each person's journey is unique, and I'm committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that honors individual experiences and strengths. My goal is to help you build resilience, cultivate self-love, and develop meaningful strategies for overcoming personal and athlete-related challenges. - Help you finish stronger.
