Sharon Albert, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Therapist in Mississippi since 1999. I hold a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education and a PhD in Educational Leadership. My experience in the field of mental healthcare spans over 30 years. I was a school administrator for six years and a former law enforcement officer for 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couples, parenting problems, career challenges, PTSD and ADHD.
I am a compassionate counselor, but I believe in individual accountability. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, solution-focused, reality, mindfulness, and interpersonal counseling. I believe that each individual has their own unique needs, and treatment plans are designed that way. It takes courage to seek help; I see it as a source of strength not weakness. As you take this journey, I am here to support and help you.
I look forward to working with you!

I’m seeing so much growth after just four weeks with Sharon. I’m able to say aloud the things that I’m dealing with on a weekly basis and she is able to offer helpful tips and suggestions on how o should navigate them. She is really taking the time to understand who I am and what my needs are.
