About me

Hello! My name is Sharon Clark and I have 20+ years as a therapist. Therapy is a second career for me, so I have the benefit of offering some helpful information about navigating the "real world," and hopefully, you'll learn my experience is not straight out of the textbooks! Over the past years, I have worked with a very diverse population that struggle with unique perspectives on therapy and how it works. I have also worked as a substance abuse counselor if that is area you want to get help with. I can interact with you in whatever manner you choose, but video conferencing is my personal preference as it gives you the opportunity to get to know me and vice versa. I can be flexible to help accommodate your work schedule, school, doctor's appointments etc.

Sharon is exactly what I needed, someone who listens without judgement and also pushes me beyond my comfort levels. I tend to be very closed off and she has gotten me to work on issues I've never been able to discuss before

Sharon Clark does a great job. She listens. She gives me tools to help with my issues. She works with me on both long term and short term goals. Most importantly, she truly cares. I would highly recommend her.

Sharon is wonderful. I subconsciously won’t allow myself to speak freely with therapists who sound robotic or sound like replies are recycled and textbook. Sharon is evidence based but in a down-to-earth, personable and/or relatable, professional level. She knows what I need and gives it. When I recite some of her advice to my family and friends, it always ends with “Everyone needs a Sharon!”. I highly recommend an appointment with her.

I honestly don’t know where I’d be without Sharon. She’s helped me through one of the most painful and confusing seasons of my life with so much care, patience, and honesty. From the very first session, I felt safe with her, like I could show up completely messy, unsure, or ashamed, and she’d still meet me with compassion, not judgment.

What I appreciate most is how she balances compassion with accountability. She doesn’t sugarcoat things, but she also never makes me feel like I’m being “called out” in a harsh way. Instead, she gently helps me dig deeper, see the patterns, and make sense of the why not just the what. There have been sessions where I’ve walked in thinking I was beyond repair, and somehow she helps me see the strength and worth still left in me.

She also makes the space feel incredibly safe. I can cry, vent, fall apart, or even sit in silence and she holds that space with so much care. I leave every session feeling a little more grounded, a little more aware, and a lot more hopeful.

If you’re looking for someone who’s warm, grounded, honest, and truly gifted at what she does, someone who will walk with you through the hard stuff without ever making you feel small this is absolutely Sharon. I’m really grateful I found her.
