Shelli Sheppard, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 26 years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges. Before entering private practice, I spent 26 years in public education as a teacher, school counselor, and ultimately retired as a principal. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the academic, family, and life pressures that children, teens, adults, and professionals often face.
In addition to my counseling practice, I have served as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor for the past 16 years, mentoring and supervising other counselors as they develop their clinical skills. I am also the proud mother of two grown children and am excited to be welcoming my first grandbaby soon, experiences that have further enriched my appreciation for the joys and challenges that accompany every stage of life.
I have experience helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, anger management, life transitions, concentration, memory concerns, and developing healthy coping skills. My approach is grounded in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique goals, strengths, and needs.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and hope.
