In my practice, I work with each person individually, and use the client's goals to inform the types of therapy I use in each session. I primarily use cognitive based models to help clients change thinking patterns, and use behavioral therapies to help clients change unhelpful habits. I like to help clients better utilize their innate strengths, hobbies, relationships, and healthy belief systems to help create change in their lives. I view the human person from a body-mind-soul perspective. It is my goal to help clients address deficiencies, and grow in each domain of person-hood, whether that be growing in their spiritual beliefs, developing healthy coping skills, or overcoming obstacles both big and small.
I have a Master's in Counseling Education from West Texas A&M University. I am fully credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have worked in various mental health facilities ranging from juvenile detention centers, to domestic violence shelters, and mental health hospitals. I have provided counseling to individuals, and couples, as well as, facilitated group therapy for clients from all walks of life. I have worked with all types of clients ranging from individuals in need of general support, to running groups for people with severe mental illnesses, or suffering from chemical dependency.
I help people break free from addiction, heal from trauma, overcome depression, and confront their daily anxieties. I specialize in helping clients change habits and thought patterns that stop them from living to their full potential.

The only problem I have with Simon is that I can't talk to him every day! He is very good at listening and his advice is just what I need to hear to help me make better decisions and heal. I especially appreciated that he took our first couple of sessions to ask questions and really get to know me and my situation before giving advice.
Simon is kind and empathetic yet has a way of laying some tough truths out that helps put things into perspective.
He tries his best to explain things thoroughly, which is super helpful for someone like me who gets easily confused. He focuses on everything good going on a makes sure you know he's proud. The conversation is always comfortable. A kind soul with a love for helping people
He is great
Simon knows his stuff .. he provides insightful perspective and practical advice on how to handle life’s stressors.
He is also a great listener and communicator.
So far so good!
Still early in the process, but I've been pleased so far that he gets to know you before blindly offering up advice/guidance that maybe not helpful. Looking forward to continuing on and growing.
Simon is very calm and patient and a great listener. He explains things very well - breaks it down to make it simple. Very helpful and understanding.
Simon does a great job providing new frameworks that help me process where I'm at, where I want to be and new steps on how to get there. I look forward to each session because I know I will return with new insight.
Simon is an excellent counselor. He had taken the time to reach out to me and has been able to help me address issues that I thought were a big deal. I am always in favor of advocating for therapy. Simon is a good fit for me and I would not be afraid to tell him what’s really going on in a session.
