Stacey Langley, LISW
Hello! My name is Stacey and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over six years of experience providing therapy services. Prior to that, I have worked with individuals and families as a behavioral health intervention specialist and a domestic abuse advocate.
I primarily work with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges and/or struggling with managing emotions, stress, and anger.
I received my undergraduate and masters degree in Social Work at the University of South Dakota. My approach to therapy is warm, interactive, and client centered. I consider the client/therapist relationship to be one of the most important things in counseling. I believe clients are the experts on their lives and I am here to support and empower you. I aim to assist clients in learning the strategies and coping skills best tailored to their individual situation. I draw my approach from a combination of styles; trauma-focused, solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Additional areas of focus: LGBT, Relationship issues, Parenting issues, Self esteem, Coping with life changes, Compassion fatigue, Abandonment, Adoption and Foster Care, Attachment Issues, Blended Family Issues, Codependency, Commitment Issues, Communication Problems, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), Domestic Violence, Family of Origin Issues, Family Problems, Guilt and Shame, Isolation/Loneliness, Obsessions, Compulsions, and OCD, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Post-traumatic Stress, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Self-Love, Sexual Assault and Abuse, Women's Issues, Young Adult Issues
