About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with over 15 years of experience. I use a variety of therapy techniques to support young adults, adults, and families through various life challenges, with emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy. I have helped clients with various social, emotional, and behavioral needs related to anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, parenting, and life transitions. I have a special interest in helping bereaved individuals navigate grief and loss. I have also worked as a school social worker for a number of years and feel that I can be a strong support to parents who are navigating special education testing for their child or have a child who receives special education supports at school. I am a strong advocate for parents to be an active part of their child's special education team.

I strive to create a space that feels warm, safe and supportive, and that allows you to explore the emotions, thoughts, and challenges that are impacting your life. I believe that every person has special and unique attributes and capabilities that can be used to help them learn and grow through different life experiences. I know that starting therapy is a big step, and I look forward to working with you on this journey!
