About Me

My desire is to provide therapy for individuals who would like to receive person-centered guidance and support within a non-judgmental client/counselor relationship. As a counselor I have 10 years of experience assisting individuals who are needing support due to various problems within the mental health field. My credentials include a Master of Arts in Education (clinical counseling) from a graduate school and I am currently licensed in the state of Ohio to provide counseling independently as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or LPCC. One of my goals is to make sure my clients feel comfortable within the client/counselor relationship. I believe this can be accomplished by me demonstrating authenticity and acceptance towards each individual that I am fortunate enough to work with. Common problems that I address in counseling sessions include anxiety, depression, search for meaning and purpose, spiritual/faith issues, stress, men's issues, pornography addiction, substance use addiction, loneliness, grief/loss, trauma, and relationship problems. I look forward to hearing from you!

Stephen is kind and compassionate. He is great at listening and seeking clarification on what's being shared. He asks thought-provoking questions that allow me to process my thoughts and feelings in a helpful way. He's offered some tools that have helped make some situations in my life easier to navigate.

Stephen is easy to talk to, asks you what you would like to work on and offers to pray for you at the end of the session. He is easy to communicate with by text message and responds usually pretty quickly.

My first session with Stephen was great and exactly as good as I could have expected. He’s a thoughtful listener, and asked appropriate questions to get to know me, and followed up with encouragement. I’m looking forward to the next session.

Extremely personable. Through conversations I've found that although he is religious himself, he doesn't attempt to lean on his personal faith when making recommendations or suggestions, which is refreshing. He definitely tries to let you have an environment to speak openly and honest, and doesn't ever try to exert himself over you in conversation, but rather waits for the opportunities of pause to guide the conversation back to the key issues you outlined for him initially. I would definitely recommend Stephen Wallace to anyone looking for a calm voice of reason, that's as encouraging and engaging as he is patient and understanding.

Although I’ve only been working with Stephen for a short time I feel like he’s been very attentive and tried his best to help me with my own issues. After more time I feel like we will make a very large amount of progress I alone was not able to make.
