About me

My name is Steve Weiss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington state. As an experienced therapist with years in the field, I am committed to my clients' journey of recovery from whatever is challenging or interfering with their quality of life. My clinical specialties are couples and family therapy, as well as individual counseling for life issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, stress management, and relationship difficulties. I also work with addiction and personality disorders. My clinical philosophy is to start where my clients are at; I understand that changes are difficult and ultimately a choice. My approach is to empower clients to look at their strengths and challenges, and assist them in deciding what changes they wish to make. I am also comfortable in working with clients whose faith is an important part of their lives. I strive to always be transparent and "clinically humble", and understand that the client is the expert regarding his or her life. Finally, therapy for me starts with the therapeutic relationship which I work to develop with all my clients, so we can develop a supportive, therapeutic, treatment environment.

Stephen is a fantastic therapist. He is structured and does much more than just ask basic questions He provides insight, perspective and seems to truly care. I think he is best of breed and I feel very thankful to have found him.

I made a mistake on one of the answers. I want to give hi all 10s. He’s changed my life forever. I’m so thankful my ex boyfriend bought me therapy. I’ve continued it for another year. I’m finally seeing life changes. I’m so grateful for working with Steve Weiss

Stephen is off to a great start with me, I never thought I could talk to someone about my troubles without feeling judged. But with Stephen I don't feel that at all, he has given me a safe space to fine tune my life to find peace and happiness in my day to day. So thank you Stephen!

After my initial session, I knew Stephen was a good choice for me as a therapist. I knew I needed something more structured and it’s like I came to the right place after searching for so long. Stephen didn’t hesitate to make sure I was aware of how therapy works in this resource. I knew if I needed to do the work to better myself, I need to make sure I knew exactly how to go about it. I’m looking forward to my future sessions with this particular therapist.

In the few sessions I’ve had with Steve, he’s already given me insights on how to manage my relationships. The return on investment has been pretty immediate
