Susan Hargett

About Me

My name is Susan Hargett, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and nationally certified. I understand reaching out for help can be uncomfortable, but I am glad you have the courage to take that first step so you may live the life you desire. I believe our own unique set of experiences colors our lens of our perception, therefore your goals should be tailored to reflect who you are. My clients have a voice, they choose the areas in their life they wish to address and which goals they would like to accomplish. We work together to come up with reasonable and attainable goals and find ways to achieve them that spurs your growth.
My roots are in yoga and meditation/mindfulness (since 2004) and I utilize a variety of techniques from multiple counseling modalities such as: person centered, solution-focused, eco therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), although having a strong therapeutic relationship, I believe, is the most important part of therapy.

I am skilled in working with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I am continuously working to expand my skills by becoming familiar with the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices.

If you feel I would be a good fit for you, let's talk and get started on your journey. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Susan is an extremely kind and caring person. Her approach to sessions is very calming and non-judgmental. She has been extremely helpful so far in recommending ideas and resources for reframing my thoughts and building better, healthier habits.
